Tucson AZ sees porn during Super bowl 2009

I was talking to a friend the other day and he asked me if I had heard anything about a porn clip that interrupted super bowl 2009. I said I have not heard anything about it. He told me that you can view it on you tube. Well I thought this would be interesting so I did some research on this.
If you watched the super bowl in 2004, you might have caught a glimpse of Janet Jacksons wardrobe malfunction when Justin Timberlake tore her top. Well this year Comcast in Tucson AZ area somehow aired a 15 sec to 30 sec clip of porn. It happened shortly after 7:30 when the Cardinals scored their last touchdown to take the lead.
The channel starts to get fuzzy and you see a woman unzipping a man’s pants, to make him fully nude and then some graphic material after words. They are saying it is a clip from Club Jenna. Which, is an adult TV channel featuring one of the world’s top porn stars Jenna Jameson. Some people might have thought it was just another commercial until they saw him nude. There were a lot of people that took it very offensive and want answers of how this could happen on the super bowl. One of the most viewed programs for the whole year. They are doing investigations to find out how this happened and Comcast did make an apology stating we will give you answers.
I would say that this is a big PR issue for Comcast they are going to have to inform all of their customers of how something like this could happen. I guess I am thinking that someone hit the wrong switch to go to commercial or something. NOTE: if you want to watch it, there is no nudity in it on you tube they have it blacked out.

  1. Was this only on the AZ Comcast, or was it a nationwide Comcast issue?

It looks to me like some kid working thought it would be funny to slip that in there.

Ever see the movie Fight Club? I think the character in that movie used to slip in much shorter images into the movies he showed at the local theater just for kicks.

I've heard rumors and stories about little clips getting slipped into kids cartoons too--very very short so that only if you knew they were there and knew to pause the DVD would you ever find them, but still. Some people have a very sick sense of humor.

Definitely a PR issue for Comcast!!

  2. At first when I read you title, I was like WHAT? And started to laugh a little, thinking it was just a funny way of making your article seem interesting. But after I read your article I couldn’t believe it. For something like that to come on national television in the middle of the Super Bowl is unbelievable. And I’m sure many people are not happy with it either. I just think about myself, I have watched the Super Bowl since I can remember and I know that this year I had many cousins and other relatives that are young that watched it. I think that someone has a lot of explaining to do.

  3. Wow,I must have missed that commercial becuase I don't remember anything like that on TV. It really shocked me to read that there was a cmmercial that aired like that. I would think that every commercial would be reviewed over and over to make sure nothing like that happened. I agree with you that Comcast has a lot of explaining to do to thier customers and to Super Bowl viewers. However, when you think about it Comcast's strategy could have been just to get their name out. I have never heard about this company before and now I probably won't forget it. Whether it is a negative or a positive reason people are talking about them; the fact is they are being talked about and they might even get more business because of it.

  4. Wow, this must have happen in only a select few areas. Here in Florida we didn’t have the issue of the porn case at least where I watched the game. I believe this is another type of cyber crime. A person now can hack into your personal accounts: Take your money, Apply for loans, Get a job, and now force what you are to watch on TV.

Because of this criminal act the rest of the country will now be bombarded with all types of new regulations. Terrific, this is just peachy! We should be concentrating on the economy and making sure we keep our representatives in Washington DC from spending 800 billion dollars we instead have to monitor of televisions for unsolicited broadcasts during family shows.
